This Privacy Policy explains how VetAmi AI ("VetAmi AI", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the AI tools available at ai.vetami.pk, including the Breed Checker, Medicine Checker, and Report Explainer (collectively, the "AI Tools"). This policy applies specifically to ai.vetami.pk. Our main application at vetami.pk and the VetAmi Store are covered by their own separate privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
To use the AI Tools you must log in with a VetAmi account. We collect the account details you provide during sign-up (such as your email address) through our authentication provider.
1.2 Photos and content you upload
The AI Tools ask you to upload photos or type information, for example:
- Breed Checker: a photo of your pet
- Medicine Checker: the name of a medicine and your pet's species
- Report Explainer: a photo of an X-ray or blood/lab report, plus any optional note you type
These photos and text inputs are sent to our AI processing provider at the moment you submit a request, solely to generate your result.
1.3 Technical information
We automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service, including your IP address (used only for rate-limiting to prevent abuse) and basic request metadata (timestamp, which tool was used, request outcome).
2. How We Use Information
- To generate the AI result you requested (breed identification, medicine safety verdict, or report explanation)
- To authenticate your account and keep the service secure
- To enforce fair-use rate limits (currently 3 requests per hour on Report Explainer, and similar limits on other tools) so the service stays free and available for everyone
- To monitor, debug, and improve the reliability of the AI Tools
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build behavioral profiles of you for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
To operate the AI Tools, we share data with the following categories of service providers, only to the extent necessary to deliver the service:

These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms and are contractually/technically limited to using it to provide the service to us. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the independent privacy practices of these providers beyond our use of their services.
4. Data Retention
Uploaded photos and report images are used transiently to generate your result and are not retained by VetAmi AI after your session. Request metadata used for rate-limiting (such as IP address and timestamp) is retained for a short period (up to the applicable rate-limit window, currently up to 1 hour) and may be retained longer in aggregated, non-identifying form for security and service-reliability purposes. Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active, or as required by law.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- You can choose not to use a given AI Tool, or not to upload a particular photo, at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account by contacting us (see Section 9).
- You can ask us what account information we hold about you.
6. Children's Privacy
The AI Tools are intended for use by pet owners who are adults or of an age permitted to hold a VetAmi account under our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as encrypted connections and access controls) to protect data in transit and while processed by our AI Tools. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our AI Tools evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the AI Tools after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
