These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AI tools available at ai.vetami.pk, including the Breed Checker, Medicine Checker, and Report Explainer (collectively, the "AI Tools"), operated by VetAmi ("VetAmi", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the AI Tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the AI Tools.
The AI Tools do not replace a licensed veterinarian. They are informational tools only, designed to help you understand general information about your pet's breed, common medicine safety considerations, or the general content of an X-ray or lab report photo.
The AI Tools do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition in your pet, and nothing produced by the AI Tools should be treated as a medical or veterinary diagnosis.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any decision about your pet's health, medication, treatment, or care — including when the AI Tools indicate a result is "safe," "normal," or otherwise appears reassuring. AI results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or wrong.
In an emergency, or if your pet has already consumed something potentially harmful, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal clinic immediately. Do not rely on the AI Tools in an emergency situation.
1. Description of the Service
The AI Tools use artificial intelligence (including third-party AI models) to generate informational responses based on photos and information you provide:
- Breed Checker — attempts to identify the likely breed(s) of a dog or cat from a photo and provides general breed information.
- Medicine Checker — provides general safety information about whether a named medicine is commonly considered safe, requires caution, or is toxic for dogs or cats.
- Report Explainer — attempts to explain, in plain language, the general content of an uploaded X-ray or blood/lab report photo.
All AI Tools are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
2. AI Limitations and No Warranty of Accuracy
You understand and agree that:
- The AI Tools are powered by artificial intelligence models, which can produce incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or misleading results, including for medicines, breeds, or medical reports that appear common or well documented.
- The AI Tools may fail to identify important abnormal findings in an X-ray or lab report, may misread the report, or may make positive-sounding statements ("looks normal") that turn out to be inaccurate.
- The AI Tools may not have knowledge of every medicine, brand name, breed, or medical condition, particularly newer, regional, or less common products.
- Results are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a licensed veterinarian before being shown to you.
- The AI Tools are not a substitute for professional veterinary examination, diagnosis, advice, or treatment, and should never be used as the sole basis for a decision about your pet's health or safety.
VetAmi provides the AI Tools "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for decisions you make regarding your pet's health, care, and treatment, whether or not you consult the AI Tools.
- You agree to independently verify any medicine, dosage, or treatment decision with a licensed veterinarian before acting on it.
- You will not use the AI Tools as a substitute for seeking timely professional veterinary care, especially in urgent or emergency situations.
- You will only upload photos and information that you have the right to share, and that do not contain sensitive information about other people.
- You will not attempt to misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI Tools, including attempting to bypass rate limits or authentication.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
Use of the AI Tools requires a VetAmi account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
5. Free Use and Rate Limits
The AI Tools are currently provided free of charge. To keep the service available and fair for all users, we apply reasonable rate limits (for example, a limited number of report checks per hour). We may change, suspend, or introduce limits or pricing for any AI Tool at our discretion, with or without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The AI Tools, their design, branding, and underlying software are owned by VetAmi or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any photos you upload, but you grant VetAmi and its AI processing providers a limited, temporary license to process that content solely to generate your requested result.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VetAmi, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to harm to your pet, veterinary expenses, loss of data, or loss of use, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the AI Tools — even if VetAmi has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VetAmi from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the AI Tools, your violation of these Terms, or decisions made about your pet's care based on AI Tool output.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any AI Tool, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the AI Tools.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the AI Tools after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
